For some reason it is important to me that these images are
immaterial. They are taken with a digital camera, transferred from computer
to computer via cables and phone lines, and eventually viewed by people in
distant locations, but unlike photos or scanned slides or even video tape, they
don't exist as physical objects.
It is not a question of originality or authenticity (and the lack thereof), but
a simple pleasure, kind of like free fall.
